Far Cry 6 Helicopter Locations: Where to Grab Helicopters

Far Cry 6 features several locations at which players can hop in the cockpit of a helicopter, but be warned: Often these helicopter landing spots are controlled by enemies, so you may find yourself fighting through some of Antón Castillo's henchmen before you can fly free. Here's where you can find helicopters in Far Cry 6.

Far Cry 6 Helicopter Locations: 1952 Kaumbat R-25

The 1952 Kaumbat R-25 is described in-game as a "Commercial version of a Korean War staple, most commonly distributed among the 'hillfolk' of the northwestern US." This helicopter appears during a story mission, so as long as you play through the main story, it'll be hard to miss.

Far Cry 6 Helicopter Locations: 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP

The 1952 Kaumbat R-25 WSP is much more common, and should spawn at any number of helicopter bases held by Castillo's men. One such location includes the base east of the Cobre River and north of the Dos Monjas Mogote. Grabbing this copter will trigger combat from whatever baddies you snuck past, but once you escape with it you can fly it to any hideout or base of your own with a landing pad to add it to your collection of vehicles.

Far Cry 6 Helicopter Locations: 1968 Garin Vorona C

The 1968 Garin Vorona C is another typical helicopter for the Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa, but it's much more durable than the Kaumbat R-25 variants. It also sports side machine guns and rockets as weapons. You'll be able to find this helicopter at many FND bases, but one common spawn is the Velazco Airstrip along the west coast, across the bay from Tempestad Lighthouse. Bring it to a Vehicle Pickup Point to add it to your collection.

Far Cry 6 Helicopter Locations: 1968 Garin Vorona CT

The CT variant of the Garin Vorona is much more rare than the C variant, and much more difficult to commandeer. To get one, you'll need to raise the alarm in Esperanza until one starts hunting you down. You can then lure it outside the range of the anti-air weapons in Esperanza and shoot it down with the Zeusito. That will power off its engines without dealing damage to the hull. When it lands, kill the enemies inside, repair the chopper and bring it to a Vehicle Pickup Point.

Far Cry 6: Helicopter Locations: Avispa Buzzer (Resolver)

This last helicopter is the rarest in the game. The Avispa Buzzer can be found in Lozanía, and at random FND outposts. One spawn location — though it's not guaranteed — is in an open-top cave off the Caverna River. The cave is on the far west side of Lozanía, at roughly the halfway point between its north and south borders.
