FF7 Rebirth has an incredible roster of characters. There are seven total, and each of them has many weapons. The face of Final Fantasy, Cloud Strife, has seven weapons to choose from in FF7 Rebirth. Finding all of his weapons is difficult, so we’ve compiled this list of every Cloud weapon players can find.

The Slipstream Saber is one of the best weapons for Cloud because it has a good amount of magic and physical attack damage, can reduce damage taken, and can counterattack.

Here’s every detail about each of Cloud’s weapons:

Buster Sword 

  • Description: A large broadsword that has inherited the hopes of those who fight.
  • Stats: 73 Attack, 73 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O-O O-O
  • Ability: Focused Thrust – Lunge towards an enemy with a piercing strike that hits multiple times. Significantly increases stagger.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Stagger an enemy.
  • Location: N/A (players start the game with the weapon)

Sleek Saber

  • Description: A republic-era blade polished into a refined shape and sheen.
  • Stats: 84 Attack, 62 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O-O O-O
  • Ability: Firebolt Blade – Imbue your sword with fire and lightning while slicing a foe. Can use while airborne.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Exploit an enemy’s weakness.
  • Location: Players can get the Sleek Saber for the first time in Chapter 2. The sword will be in a chest in the Abandoned Dock. It’ll also be available starting from the Junon region’s Weapons Vendors. 

Rune Blade

  • Description: A greatsword inscribed with characters from a mythical, ancient script.
  • Stats: 37 Attack, 110 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O-O O-O
  • Ability: Disorder – Deliver a devastating attack while switching modes. Fills the ATB gauge when attack connects. Can use while airborne.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Strike with Attack or Strong Attack after switching modes.
  • Location: The Rune Blade is available starting in Chapter 4. It’s in a chest by the vending machine at the Starboard Connecting Passage in Junon. The sword will also be available at Weapons Vendors starting in the Corel region.

Umbral Blade

  • Description: A mystifying sword forged from a gem that emits an eerie glow.
  • Stats: 66 Attack, 66 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O-O O O O
  • Ability: Prime Mode – Strengthen Punisher Mode. Hold down Attack to deliver three consecutive strikes. Increases Berserk potency.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy while active.
  • Location: The Umbral Blade first appears in Chapter 8. The weapon is in a chest at the Solemnitude Manor in The Dustbowl of Corel. Players can get it from Weapons Vendors starting in Gongage. 

Crystal Sword

  • Description: A curved greatsword forged from hardened volcanic magma.
  • Stats: 116 Attacks 59 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O O O O O O
  • Ability: Blade Burst – Unleash a wave of non-elemental mako energy at an enemy in front of you with a slash of your sword.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Finish off an enemy.
  • Location: Players will find the sword for the first time in Chapter 9. It’s in the Freight Corridor, located on the B2 floor of the Gongaga Reactor. Players must go through small cracks in the wall to reach the item, and they should unlock it during the Shadow Beckon Main Scenario quest.

Igneous Saber

  • Description: A finely honed greatsword hewn from an enormous gemstone.
  • Stats: 62 Attack, 104 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O O O
  • Ability: Infinity’s End – Wind up and unleash an overheard strike. Increased damage on stagger. Costs 2 ATB.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Strike a staggered enemy.
  • Location: Players will find the Igneous Saber in Chapter 11. It’s on the cliff in the Northern Ridge—Upper Level of Mt. Nibel. 

Slipstream Saber

  • Description: A greatsword whose power has been greatly enhanced by the mako coursing through its blade.
  • Stats: 86 Attack, 99 Magic Attack
  • Materia Slots: O-O O-O O-O
  • Ability: Counterstance – Brace for attacks and retaliate. Activate at the right time to reduce damage. Can use while airborne.
  • Proficiency Bonus: Unleash a counterattack.
  • Location: The Slipstream Saber is in the Corridor of Trepidation in the Temple of the Ancients. Most will eventually reach this part after completing the Main Scenario quest Into the Labyrinth in Chapter 13.
