FF7 Remake Air Buster Disposal: What to Dispose
By Andrew Lin
FF7 Remake Air Buster Disposal will weaken one of the bosses, Air Buster, before you have to fight it. Here's how to weaken the boss and claim some of the parts for yourself.
FF7 Remake Air Buster Disposal: What to Dispose
As you make your way through Mako Reactor 5, you'll come across blocky control rooms with guards stationed inside. Dispatching the enemies will let you use the consoles in the room to remove parts from Air Buster. There are nine rooms, but you can only access six of them with key cards.
- The first keycard is right when the Air Buster Disposal is explained, so you can't miss it.
- The control room on B7 has a card on a box.
- In the hallway between B7 and B6, in the corner by the stairs.
- The control room on B6 has a card.
- There are two cards in the last control room on B5.
Once you have cards, you can remove parts by accessing the terminals. There are three types of parts you can dispose of: AI Programming Cores, Big Bombers and M Units.
AI Programming Cores correspond to certain attacks Air Buster has, Big Bombers are the missiles that it will fire at you and M Units are assorted items that don't actually affect how the battle will go. We recommend to remove the AI parts, which will make the boss fight significantly easier.
When you remove these parts, you can claim them after a lockpicking minigame before the Air Buster fight. The AI parts can be sold for 500 gil each an M Units will get you assorted curatives, but nothing unusual you couldn't buy in the shop. The fun ones are the Big Bombers, because you can fire them yourself by consuming the item. The boss fight begins in the next room, so be sure your Materia is set before taking on Air Buster.
