FIFA 20 Summer Heat Summer Showdown: 3 Matches and Players EA Sports Should Pick
FIFA 20 Summer Heat Summer Showdown has become one of the most popular parts of the new end-of-the-season promotion. EA Sports have chosen some really exciting games that have resulted in some amazing cards.
As a part of the Summer Heat promotion, EA released upgraded SBCs for two players facing off in real life. Based on the actual result, the winning player's card receives a +3 overall stat boost, or both players receive a +1 overall stat boost in the case of a tie.
Here are three matches that EA should choose for their next Summer Showdown, and the players that they should pick:
Arsenal vs. Tottenham - July 12
The North London Derby is always one of the most hotly-contested matches on the Premier League calendar. This match will have huge implications for Champions League positions as well.
For the players, EA should choose Kieran Tierney for Arsenal and Harry Kane for Tottenham. Tierney has been one of the Gunners' best players since the restart, shining in his new LWB position. As for Kane, the Spurs' talisman has struggled to find the back of the net in recent weeks, but all FIFA players would welcome an upgraded version with great pace.
Juventus vs. Atalanta - July 11
While the Serie A title race appears to be done and dusted, Juve vs. Atalanta is a match with a ton of offensive firepower. Under manager Gian Piero Gasperini, Atalanta have the best goal differential in the Italian top flight.
EA should choose Duvan Zapata as Atalanta's player and Douglas Costa as Juve's. Both have been consistent in their team's respective successes, even if their stats might not stand out. Plus, an upgraded Douglas Costa card would be virtually unstoppable.
Atletico Madrid vs. Real Sociedad - July 19
With the La Liga season winding down, this will be a scintillating matchup between one of the most stout defenses in Atleti and an offensive juggernaut in Sociedad. The clash of coaching styles will be evident from the kickoff.
João Felix should be the representative for Atletico and Mikel Oyarzabal is the guy for Sociedad. Both young players have had their ups and downs this season, but their potential (and potentially great FIFA cards) shouldn't be ignored.
