The FIFA 21 Global Series & eWorld Cup Qualifiers have already begun. In fact, nine Global Series events have taken place from Nov. 28 to Jan. 24. There are six different regions for Global Series events: Europe, North America, South America, West Asia, East Asia, Oceania, and South Africa.

Each region will have a different number of Global Series events. Europe, North America, and South America will have five events featuring tournaments on both Xbox One and PS4. The other regions will have three events all on PS4.

The Global Series events will earn the competitors Global Series Points that go towards qualifying for the Regional Playoffs and World Cup. South Africa and West Asia will be grouped together. Each Regional Playoff will have a different number of players:

  • Europe (Xbox One) - 64 players
  • Europe (PS4) - 64 players
  • South America (PS4) - 32 players
  • South America (Xbox One) - 16 players
  • North America (Xbox One) - 16 players
  • North America (PS4) - 16 players
  • West Asia & South Africa (PS4) - 16 players
  • East Asia (PS4) - 8 players
  • Oceania (PS4) 8 players

Details regarding the FIFA 21 eWorld Cup have yet to be announced. The event typically takes place in August and features the top 32 players (16 from PS4, 16 from Xbox One) based on Global Series Ranking. Given that the final Global Series events are in June, the FIFA eWorld Cup can be expected to take place shortly after.

If the FIFA eWorld Cup retains its same format, it will pit Xbox One and PS4 players against one another. The players would be split into four groups and the top four players from each group advance to the knockout round. Players then compete in a single-elimination playoff for the FIFA eWorld Cup crown.

The FIFA 21 Global Series events are currently underway. The next events are the second North America and West Asia qualifiers on Feb. 6-7.
