FIFA 21 Showdown: 5 Matches EA Sports Should Create Cards For
With the introduction of the new Showdown promotion in FIFA 21, we are left to wonder which matches EA Sports will choose to base these cards off of, since we have already had one for the Villarreal vs Sevilla match. So without further ado, here are 5 Matches that we think EA Sports should create Showdown cards for.
1. A.C Milan vs Juventus
This match could be quite the hotly contested affair to base a couple of Showdown cards on. With A.C Milan looking to grab their first Serie A title in nine years, and given Juventus' current form in the Italian league, this result of this match could very easily go either way.
2. Manchester United vs Liverpool
It goes without saying that this match is a big one, especially now given how close the race for the Premier League title is this season. Manchester United vs Liverpool is as much of a staple in the England as El Classico is in Spain, but not quite as grand as the latter. Depending on how long EA plan to keep doing this promotion, it is hard to imagine them missing this one.
3. RB Leipzig vs Borussia Dortmund
RB Leipzig may be one of the youngest teams in German football, but it has certainly become one of the most exciting to watch. Given how close Leipzig are to possibly overtaking Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga table, and the shear quality of both Dortmund and Leipzig's players, this should be a scintillating match to watch to say the least. And the players that could be chosen to be
4. Manchester United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
This is a fixture that will be occurring much sooner than the rest, but it is still a match that could prove to be a good source for EA to produce some showdown cards. After all EA have never been shy when it comes to adding more United players to their bundles of special cards, and Wolves have certainly got a number of players that they could tinker with as well, like Daniel Podence, Ruben Neves or even Rui Patricio.
5. Olympique Lyonnais vs Stade Rennes
The Ligue 1 table, like many of the top European leagues this season, has not been this tightly contested in quite some time, and Lyon will be hoping to put some distance between their rivals once we enter the new year. Both Lyon and Rennes have made their presence known in the league, and there are certainly a number of Lyon players, like Memphis Depay and Houssem Aouar, who would make for some pretty crazy showdown cards.
