Fortnite at DreamHack Anaheim: Stream, Schedule, Results, Prizing

DreamHack and Fortnite cross paths this weekend as players compete in the DreamHack Anaheim Fortnite tournament. The solos event sports a $250,000 prize pool and scores of competitors. Here's what you need to know about the event.

Fortnite DreamHack Anaheim Schedule

Fortnite at DreamHack Anaheim will take place in three stages played over the course of three days. The first, Stage 1, features open sign ups and allows players as young as 13 to compete. It is then separated into Blue and Yellow Heats.

The Blue Heat took place Friday at 7 p.m. ET and the Yellow Heat takes place at 2 p.m. Saturday. After 10 matches, the top 200 players in each heat advance to Stage 2 and the Grand Final Qualifying Round set for Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. Ten more rounds will cut the number down 100 players that advance to the finals Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

In the grand final, players will compete in eight matches to determine final placings.

DreamHack decided against streaming the Fortnite tournament at its Anaheim event, leaving fans without a way to watch the action live.

DreamHack Anaheim's Fortnite tournament awards 60 points for a first-place finish, 53 for second place, 49 for third, and 47 for fourth. From that placing onward, each successive placement earns one fewer points down. Finishing outside of the top 50 awards zero points.

Players also earn five points per elimination.
