With Pandora's Box now opened, unknown evils and powers are circling around Ruined Reels, just waiting to leave their mark as Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 comes to an end. After the successful in-game live event, Epic Games has teased several Greek gods and goddesses coming to the game, including Zeus, Hades, and Aphrodite.
So, how much longer do fans have to wait to dive into everything Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 has to offer?
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 Countdown to Release
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 countdown to release is ticking down until the major update drops on Friday, Mar. 8, 2024. After a significant downtime, the Greek mythology-themed season will become available to play, likely anywhere from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. ET. At the time of writing, fans only have to wait less than two more days to experience Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
Although Epic Games has not confirmed the season's Battle Pass skins just yet, multiple leaks have revealed several of the options fans can expect come Friday. Other leaks claim collaborations with Avatar: The Last Airbender and Jujutsu Kaisen are slated for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2.
At launch, though, there will likely just be Greek mythology-inspired skins and cosmetics available in both the Battle Pass and the Item Shop.
Epic Games Teases Flying Mechanic Coming in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
Along with the Greek god and goddess teasers from Epic Games, the developers also revealed a flying mechanic is coming in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. Fans will now possibly be able to walk, sprint, and fly across the island.
The official Fortnite Competitive X account posted, "You know how you can walk or sprint when competing? Let's say you'll be able to do something else..."
Flying would fit right in with the otherworldly powers invading the game in just two days. It would also be an interesting new mobility option that could prove vital in endgames.
