Fortnite Summer Escape Event Start Date

Fans excited for the Fortnite Summer Escape Event will not have to wait much longer.

Fortnite always runs seasonal events that give players an opportunity to earn free in-game rewards and explore altered versions of the map. Recently, the Fortnite Spring Breakout brought Easter-themed weapons and skins to Chapter 4 Season 2. Now, Fortnite WILDS is set to undergo another transformation.

Update v25.11 went live today and debuted new Reality Augments and weapons, including the return of the Pump Shotgun, now called the Sharp Tooth Shotgun. The patch also includes the next seasonal update, but the Summer Escape Event has not kicked off just yet.

Fortnite Summer Escape Event Start Date

The Fortnite Summer Escape Event starts on July 4 at 9 a.m. ET. In honor of Independance Day, players will have new cosmetics, POI designs, and quests to enjoy. With the new jungle biome already full of flowers, it will be interesting to see just how summer overtakes the Fortnite WILDS map.

According to recent leaks, the following three batches of quests will be live:

• The Quench Quest
• Lagoon Party Time
• Make an Entrance

Although the tasks have not been revealed, players can expect challenges centered around new additions to the game, like weapons, POIs, and possibly the rumored surfboards coming to the Battle Royale.
