Gears of War 5 Ultimate Edition vs Standard is a debate for many looking to jump into the latest entry in the acclaimed franchise.
Gears 5 released Tuesday for everyone after a brief early access period for those with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The game's single player mode follows Kait Diaz as the main character. As always, the game's popular multiplayer mode, along with Escalation, returns in this entry.

The Ultimate Edition also came with early access, which is irrelevant now that the game has been released. It goes without saying that purchasing a digital version of the game doesn't come with the steelbook or stickers.
Microsoft has a deal running through Sept. 16 for people who buy any digital version of the game with an active Xbox Game Pass membership. They'll receive the Terminator: Dark Fate bonus character pack with Sarah Conner, the T-800, a Vector Lancer skin and seven days of Boost.
Gears 5 is available now for Xbox One and Windows.
