Genshin Impact Update 2.0: What to Expect
Genshin Impact Update 2.0 is set to launch on July 21, with lots of new content for players to sink their teeth into, as Genshin Impact is coming up on its full first year this September.
Genshin Impact Update 2.0: What to Expect
New Region, Inazuma
An entirely new region by the name of Inazuma, the nation of eternity will be an area consisting of six main islands, and a few secondary islands spread in between the main ones.
Thunderstorms and heavy winds often come down upon Inazuma, be prepared for some nice weather ambience as you traverse the new region.
New Characters
Ayaka, Sayu, and Yoimiya are the three new characters being added for Genshin Impact 2.0. Ayaka is a five-star Cryo sword user, Sayu is a four-star claymore user with the power of Anemo, and Yoimiya is a five-star Pyro archer with some handy fireworks to her disposal.
Interestingly, prominent Twitch streamer and OTV content creator LilyPichu will be voicing Sayu.
All three of these characters are native to the region of Inazuma, and you will get to see more of them as the main story in Inazuma progresses.
New Weapons & Artifacts
Seeing as thunder and heavy rain is a theme of Inazuma, the new weapons and artifacts reflect this theme greatly.
The two legendary weapons, Thundering Pulse and Mistsplitter's Reflection look to be a lot of fun, and strong choices for your characters that can benefit from the stats. The newly released Yoimiya or Childe can use Thundering Pulse to great effect, while Mistsplitter's Reflection seems to be the frontrunner for best in slot sword for Keqing.
Cross-saves from PC and mobile to PlayStation is also coming out with 2.0, a feature players who want to rip some Genshin from their couch can now rejoice over.
An update to Serenitea Pot, new events, new enemies, and a graphics touch-up on PlayStation means Genshin Impact 2.0 is filled to the brim with new content to check out.
