Having trouble connecting to Epic Online services in Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed? We've got some helpful information on how to potentially fix it.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed recently released as an Epic Games title earlier in October. Similar to development team IllFonic's previous titles, players can play solo or team up in intense matches to take down (or even play as) ghosts. However, since it's an Epic Games exclusive, you'll need an account to play--and some players have been having issues connecting their account to the actual game.

Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed Epic Online Services Not Working: Potential Fix

A fix to the problem involving connecting to Epic Online services was posted on the game's official Discord shortly after its official release. Here's what you can do to fix it.

  • Go to the Epic Games website on desktop, click on 'Connections', then 'Accounts', and find whichever platform you're playing the game on, and revoke Epic Games access to it.
  • If you're playing on console, revoke the console's access to Epic Games as well.
  • Reopen the game and login with your Epic Games credentials to reestablish your connection.
  • After this, the linking option should work without hassle.

While this fix may not work for all users, it's important to mention that, especially as Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed has crossplay, you'll need to ensure that your progress with other games linked to your Epic Games account has been saved. Some players have been hesitant to use this fix because of this, and as a result, another less risky fix still hasn't been confirmed.
