Make sure your Garchomp has an all-dragon move set with "Dragon Tail" and "Outrage" before approaching the raid. This will leave none of your attacks up to chance.

2. Dragonite

A classic standby, Dragonite is one of the best Pokémon to take down Giratina. It can reach a maximum CP of 3521 and was the strongest Pokémon in the game near release. Again, be wary as this Pokémon is also a hybrid dragon-type. You still want a full dragon move set of "Dragon Tail" and "Outrage" in this battle. Dragonite's water-type mash-up won't help you here.

3. Haxorus

Haxorus is a newer Pokémon on the scene, but still impressive in its own right. It can reach a maximum CP of 3336 and is another pure dragon-type. Having its power on your side will make quick work of Giratina as long as you're still keeping that full dragon move set. There may just be a chance Giratina gets ghost-type moves, instead. This can buy you a little more time and a sharper advantage against it.
