Go Fest 2020 Puzzle: How to Complete the Puzzle

The Go Fest 2020 puzzle has completely befuddled the community and Niantic Labs plans to release more hints to help our struggling fanbase.
During the lead up to Go Fest, Niantic has begun releasing a series of clues for the GO Fest 2020 puzzle. As of writing, three clues have been released, but Niantic will continue to post clues on their Twitter twice a day until July 22. The full code with be the first character of the answers to all of the clues. To use their example, if the answer to the clue was "Pikachu" then only the letter "P" would be part of the code. Before we go on, there are spoilers ahead for anyone who wants to try to solve the code themselves.

Clue #1

Clue #1 is fairly easy to solve. All you really need to do is open up the app. If you take a look at each of the league requirements in the battle menu you can see that Pokemon must be 2500 CP or under to compete in the Ultra League. That means the first character is "U."

The first Pokemon to learn Hydro Cannon by evolving on community day was Blastoise, back in 2018. This means the second character is "B."

The latest clue was released this morning and it gives us some information that narrows things down. There are only three water and electric types, Chinchou, Lanturn, and Rotom. Chinchou is featured in the art, so the third character is "C."
When all clues are released, the code can be entered here for a reward.
