Here's Where to Find Weapon Mod Benches in Fortnite Chapter 5
Looking to modify your weapon in Fortnite? Here's where to find Mod Benches in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1.
Epic Games finally introduced weapon mods to Fortnite in the latest update. Now, players can add different attachments to certain weapons to reduce recoil, double magazine size, increase reload time, and more. Unfortunately, customizing guns in the Battle Royale is not as simple (or cheap) as it sounds. In fact, finding and securing a Mod Bench might be one of the biggest challenges of the new Chapter.
Here's a breakdown of weapon mods in Fortnite Underground, including all the Mod Bench locations on the new map.
How to Use Weapon Mods in Fortnite Chapter 5
To use weapon mods in Fortnite Chapter 5, players must bring their gun to a Mod Bench. Then, they will see a menu full of new attachments, including Optics, Underbarels, Barrels, and Magazines, that can be added to their weapon.
Each attachment has a unique ability described in the menu that will elevate your weapon from its standard loadout. Before you go through the trouble of fining a Mod Bench, though, make sure you have enough Gold Bars to spend on the individual gun mods.

Coming across a Mod Bench in Fortnite Underground is not easy. In fact, there are only five of them on the island, each located inside a heavily guarded vault. Here's where to find all the Mod Benches in Fortnite Chapter 5:
- Fencing Fields
- Grand Glacier
- Lavish Lair
- Reckless Railways
- Snooty Steppes
To break into each vault, players must eliminate the Boss sent to protect it. After you defeat the NPC, pick up the dropped Society Medallion and use it to open the vaults and find the Mod Benches.
