Here's Why Zero Build is Staying in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5
Zero Build took over Fortnite in 2022, and it looks like the fan-favorite mode is staying in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5.
After teasing Kado Thorne's trip to Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 5, Epic Games all-but confirmed the final season of Chapter 4 is returning to the OG days. As the hype for the next Fortnite update increases with each passing day, fans are speculating how the current Fortnite modes and movement will translate to Chapter 1 maps.
So, will Zero Build be featured in Chapter 4 Season 5?
Here's Why Zero Build is Staying in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5
Zero Build is likely staying in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 despite rumors claiming the mode would get vaulted in the upcoming update. As arguably the most popular mode in the game, the initial reports of its removal came as a shock to the community.
Since Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 features OG Fortnite maps from Chapter 1, many speculated that Zero Build would not fit in with the throwback theme. Plus, leaks claimed sprinting and mantling will not be available next season, therefore making Zero Build almost impossible to play, especially on an OG map.
Fortunately, reliable Fortnite leaker, ShiinaBR, revealed, "Zero Build is staying during 'Fortnite OG' (Chapter 4 Season 5)." They continued, "Epic Games has placed zip lines throughout the Chapter 1 map to ensure that Zero Build is playable on the map without any problems."
Zip lines are the best solution to keep Zero Build in Fortnite without bringing the current movement back to Chapter 1. The gameplay might feel a bit slow, but as long as Zero Build remains in the game, the community will be (mostly) satisfied.
When Does Fortnite OG Start?
Fortnite OG starts on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023. Although Epic Games has not confirmed the season's name just yet, many content creators and Fortnite professional players received care packages with "Fortnite OG" on the box.
Regardless of the name, Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 5 is taking Fortnite back to its glory days, and bringing Zero Build with it.
