Horizon Forbidden West: Where to Find Raccoons
Looking for wildlife? Here's where to find raccoons in Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West features a hefty crafting system. Certain components that you collect throughout your jouney can be used to upgrade weapons, outfits, and pouches. While the majority of the materials are torn off components from wild machines, some can be sourced from more natural beings.
When upgrading things such as your potions pouch, resource pouch, and more, you'll need to make use of certain animal components. One such animal is the raccoon which, if you want to upgrade your arrow pouch, you'll need to locate.

Horizon Forbidden West: Where to Find Raccoons
Luckily, raccoons can be found pretty frequently and early on in the game. The more woodland-like areas near Chainscrape or Riverhymn are great locations to find yourself a raccoon.
Simply use your Focus to scan the surrounding areas. Wildlife tend to glow yellow and you'll be able to distinguish a raccoon by its fluffy tail. Shoot an arrow at your chosen raccoon and you'll be able to harvest materials from it. Not every raccoon will yield the important raccoon hide that you'll need for a pouch upgrade - some might only drop some wild meat. But, with so many scampering about, it shouldn't take too long to collect the goods.
