How Long is Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
Back in 2023, Creative Director Tetsuya Nomura, Director Naoki Hamaguchi, and Producer Yoshinori Kitase released statements about the game's release date, plot, and new features.
Hamaguchi told players how long gameplay would take in the post. People can expect "nearly 100 hours of gameplay" since Rebirth "embraces the concept of 'free exploration,' with compelling stories, fun mini-games, powerful monsters, and more..."
This number is close to the information on How Long to Beat, a popular website known for allowing players to login their playthrough times. Those willing to go the completionist route usually spend about 89 1/2 hours on the game. However, that's only considering a handful of players. As Hamaguchi stated, most completionists should anticipate spending about 100 hours on FF7 Rebirth.
According to the same website, players who want to focus on the main storyline will spend about 35 1/2 hours on the game. People who want to finish the main plot and side quests may spend around 56 hours on it. These numbers are also close to what Hamaguchi said in an interview with Game Informer. The Director noted players would likely spend 40 hours on the main quest and approximately 60 hours if they'd like to experience a lot of side quest content.
