Kaeya is a tall, lean young man with dark skin, according to his description. He has purple eyes with long eyelashes, diamond-shaped pupils, and long, dark cobalt hair with highlights that is usually pulled back into a low ponytail. Most of his armor is navy with the exception of a black eyepatch and white fur cloak. Currently, he is Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius.

In-game, players are made aware that Kaeya has been a member of the Knights of Favonius for about a decade. Since he certainly doesn't look like the typical 10-year-old — and it's dubious that the knights would accept an infant into their ranks, let alone allow him to use a weapon — he must be older. The question is by how much.
