How to Complete Fortnite Season 5 Week 9 Challenges

Fortnite Season 5 Week 9 challenges have been revealed by Twitter user, iFireMonkey. As usual, the challenges will go live this Thursday, roughly a week after the release of Patch 15.21.

The challenges include seven epic quests and a legendary quest. By completing these challenges, players will be able to earn XP and the chance to unlock cosmetic rewards.

How to Complete Fortnite Season 5 Week 9 Challenges

The Week 9 legendary quest involves shaking down opponents. Five shakedowns grant 55,000 XP, while every five additional shakedowns grants 22,000 XP until 25 are reached. Shaking down 25 opponents will earn you a total of 143,000 XP. To shake down an opponent, they must first be knocked. Once you knock your enemy, go up to them and press the interact key.

There are a total of seven Week 9 epic quests that are worth 20,000 XP each. Completing each quest will earn you a total of 140,000 XP.

• Deal damage while in water

• Ride the Steamy Stacks
• Deal damage to a Loot Shark

Shakedown an IO Guard

IO guards spawn near elevators across the map. There are a total of 20 potential spawn points for elevators. Once you find one proceed to shake them down to complete the challenge.

Find a Hidden Bunker

There are three hidden bunkers spread out across the map. One is located underwater in the bay south of Holly Hedges. Another bunker can be found under a large bush located in-between two trees along the cliffs east of Retail Row. The third bunker is under a shack located on the island northwest of Craggy Cliffs.

Find the Crashed Plane's Black Box

To find the black box, you must first locate the crashed plane, which is split into three parts. To reach the crash site, travel to the large grassy island in the southeastern section of Coral Castle. Once you arrive, look for a black box towards the west of the island.

Deal Damage While in Water

For this quest, you will need to deal 200 damage to an opponent while in water.

Emote at Stone Statues

The stone statues are located on Coral Island. Once you find the statues, emote in the middle of the circle. To bring up the emote wheel, press down on the d-pad for a controller or 'B' for a keyboard and mouse.

Ride the Steamy Stacks

To complete the challenge, you must first head to Steamy Stacks in the far northeastern portion of the map. Once you are there, fall into one of the stacks which will propel you upwards, and gain your XP reward.

Deal damage to a Loot Shark

Loot Sharks are located in large bodies of water across the map. Islands are great locations for finding them. To spot one, peer into the water until you see a large fin poking out. Once you have encountered the loot shark, deal 500 damage to it to complete the challenge.
