How to do a Supercharged Attack in Pokemon GO
By Eder Ramirez
There’s many ways to get good at Pokemon GO, and that’s by learning the mechanics in and out. One thing players should know is how to do a Supercharged Attack, so here’s how to do it.
In Pokemon GO battles, Pokemon can use two types of moves: Fast and Charge attacks. Fast Attacks are, as the name implies, fast at the cost of damage output. Trainers can use them as many times as they want and serve as the primary method of dealing damage. Charged Attacks are moves that deal major damage to opponents, though they need to be charged by performing Fast attacks, so they can’t be used very often. Make the most out of those Charge moves by performing a Supercharged attack.
How to do a Supercharged Attack in Pokemon GO
A “Supercharged” attack is actually short for a super effective Charge attack. To do a Supercharged attack, the Pokemon must use a Charge Move whose typing can directly counter the Pokemon it’s used on. For example, Bulldoze is a Ground-type Charge move, and it would be super effective against Electric, Fire, Poison, Rock, and Steel-types. Therefore, Bulldoze would be a Supercharged attack against the aforementioned types.
Pokemon can learn different Charge moves, whether it’s through candies or TMs. When building Pokemon for battling, whether offense or defense, try and put them up against Pokemon who are weak to their Charge moves.
