How to Evolve Aipom into Ambipom in Pokemon Legends: Arceus
By Jack O'Dwyer
Trainers want to know how to evolve their Aipom into an Ambipom in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
Aipom was originally introduced in Generation II as part of the Johto region. Also known as the “Long Tail” Pokemon, fans will most likely recognize it as the mischievous thief responsible for stealing series protagonist, Ash Ketchum’s, hat. In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, this Pokemon is described as a “treetop dweller” famous for its peculiar tail.
“Ancient writings describe this Pokémon as a one-armed oddity,” its description reads.
Its Hisuian PokeDex number is #078.
How to Evolve Aipom into Ambipom
Aipom evolves into Ambipom when leveled up while knowing the move “Double Hit.” It learns this move at level 25 and masters it about 10 levels later at level 35.
When reaching level 25, trainer should get a notification that their Aipom has an idea for a new move. We recommend they check their Pokemon’s known moves and look to change them following the aforementioned level and notification.
Aipom’s evolved form’s name, Ambipom, may actually be a reference to its method of evolution. Double Hit implies hitting a target twice—potentially, with both hands, making the attack somewhat ambidextrous.
In hindsight, it’s not surprising Ambipom has made an appearance in Legends: Arceus. After all, it was originally introduced in Generation IV as an inhabitant of the Sinnoh region.
Ambipom have been known to link their now-doubled tails together with others of their species to form a ring as a sign of kinship. Rarely, humans have been accepted as parts of these rings for the same reason. Its Hisuian PokeDex number is #079.
