How to Evolve Boldore into Gigalith in Pokemon GO
By Jack O'Dwyer
Pokemon GO trainers are interested to know how to evolve Boldore into Gigalith.
This Unovan species is part of a three-branch family beginning with the "Mantle" Pokemon, Roggenrola, that had been originally discovered in a fissure in the earth dating back centuries. It debuted in Pokemon GO in January 2020 with the advent of trade-based evolutions. The shiny variant for it and its family was not released until August that same year.
How to Evolve Boldore into Gigalith
Trainers can get a Boldore by evolving their Roggenrola using 50 candies.
From there, Boldore can be evolved into Gigalith by feeding it 200 candies or by trading it to a friend for Stardust. The latter method doesn't cost any candy but will require a specific amount of Stardust depending on the friendship level and distance of the other trainer. If trainers choose this method,
Boldore will evolve once successfully traded.
Boldore, the "Ore" Pokemon, is most commonly known for the powerful orange crystals that grow from its body. According to its PokeDex description, it may be the target of poaching for those crystals.
These crystals only get more powerful when Boldore becomes Gigalith as now the Pokemon can absorb the suns rays, covert that into energy, and blast it from its body. It makes its home deep below the surface of the Earth.
Roggenrola, Boldore, and Gigalith are native to the Unova region and have the PokeDex numbers #524, #525, and #526, respectively.
