How to Evolve Magneton into Magnezone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
By Jack O'Dwyer
We've come up with a comprehensive guide to how trainers can evolve their Magneton into a Magnezone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Magneton, the Generation I electric-type known for its rather magnetic personality, was among the handful of Pokemon to receive a new final evolutionary form with the release of Generation IV. In the Sinnoh region, trainers had the opportunity to evolve their Magnemite into Magneton, and then Magneton into a new Pokemon: Magnezone.
Here's how to evolve Magneton into Magnezone in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Trainers can evolve their Magneton into a Magnezone by exposing it to a Thunder Stone or by simply leveling it up within a unique area with a "special magnetic field."
Thunder Stones are evolutionary stones introduced in the Kanto region with Generation I. Typically, they are lime green crystal with a bright yellow thunderbolt symbol inside. They can be found on Route 229 in the Battle Zone, Sunyshore City, or in the Grand Underground by digging into walls.
A special magnetic field exists in Mt. Coronet. Trainers who level up their Pokemon anywhere in or around the mountain will be able to take advantage of the field.
Magnezone is also known as the "Magnet Area" Pokemon—likely due to the method needed to evolve it. According to its PokeDex description, its evolution is directly correlated to the magnetic field changing its "molecule structure." It emits such a strong pull out of its three magnetized zones that sometimes Magnezone are held together and left immobile. Its PokeDex number is #462.
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are available now for the Nintendo Switch.
