How to Evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
If you've managed to get hold of a Sneasel in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you might be wondering how to evolve it into Weavile.
Evolving the majority of Pokémon is fairly straight forward; level them up and eventually you'll get a new evolution. But some Pokémon in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have a few more requirements before they change form, and the game isn't too quick to tell you what you'll need to do. One Pokémon which falls into this category is the dual dark and ice-type, Sneasel.
In Diamond and Pearl, Sneasel can be found in Routes 216 and 217, Acuity Lakefront, Lake Acuity, Snowpoint Temple. When you get hold of one, there's a good chance that it's already a fairly decent level, so you might think that it's not too far off evolving. But, after a few levels, you might be wondering why it's not budging. Well, there's a trick to this Pokémon. Here's what you need to know.
How to Evolve Sneasel in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
To evolve Sneasel in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, you'll need to level it up at night whilst it's holding a Razor Claw. Levelling it up shouldn't be too hard, especially with the EXP share present in the game. Battle some weaker Pokémon or toss your Sneasel a Rare Candy and you'll level it up in no time.
Of course, the trickier requirement is getting hold of a Razor Claw. There are a number of locations where you can find one: on Route 224, Victory Road, or the Battle Park. Because of these locations being closer to the end game, it might be some time after you've found a Sneasel that you'll be able to evolve it into Weavile.
