How to Get to Drustvar: WoW Shadowlands Travel Guide
By Jack O'Dwyer
Players are trying to figure out how to get from Ardenweald to Drustvar in WoW: Shadowlands.
Blizzard Entertainment's latest attempt to connect its past content is frustrating some players of World of Warcraft (WoW). One quest from the Night Fae covenent, known as "Ulfar's Guidance," requires them to expansion hop from Shadowlands to the previous expansion, Battle for Azeroth (BFA). While many veteran players would take pleasure in forgetting that portion of WoW's history, Gweyir needs the help of the ancient Thornspeaker Ulfar to remove her curse.
So, to Drustvar we go.
Ulfar's Guidance: How to Get to Drustvar
For those who have already unlocked or completed Drustvar, Ysera will spawn a portal that takes them directly to Ulfar with no muss or fuss. If the portal doesn't appear or is missed, abandoning and re-accepting or leaving the area and returning may solve the problem. However, this isn't the case for all players.
The Ysera that spawns inside the tree within the Heart of the Forest is bugged. This is the source of everyone's issue but can be remedied with some in-game shenanigans. Players need to abandon the quest and find the area with the target dummies around 55, 75. Once there, a new quest marker should appear with a second Ysera who will actually spawn the correct portal.
Unfortunately, if neither solution above works, much to the player base's chagrin, they may need to complete some BFA content to get through this quest. If they're playing a new character that doesn't have Drustvar unlocked, they will need to go through a few prequel BFA quests to unlock the foothold and the zone. It's not a significant amount but is certainly enough to cause tension and conflict in the story.
Horde players will need to head to Zuldalar and find Nathanos Blightcaller upon the Banshee's Wail ship. From there, they'll need to start the Kul'Tiras campaign with the previous non-Shadowlands version of Sylvanas Windrunner and choose "Foothold: Drustvar." They'll quickly be directed to help out Trade Prince Gallywix and then speak with Eitrigg and Dread-Admiral Tattersail.
Alliance players seem unaffected.
