How to get Unova Mask and Cofagrigus in Pokemon Sword and Shield is all about item swapping.

Rare Pokemon Collectors and Pokedex completionists alike may have found themselves scratching their heads when confronted with Yamask. This Pokemon, along with another associated with it, Cofagrigus, are incredibly difficult to attain, if you aren't aware of the nuances. Read on to find out everything you need to know to get your hands on them.

Pokemon Sword and Shield: Unova Yamask

The first step in getting the Unova version of Yamask is to catch its Galar region counterpart. Once that's done, head over to Baloonle station, where a plucky young trainer is cosplaying Eeevee. This trainer is curiously in position of a Unova Yamask, but expresses their desire to part ways with it in return for the Galarian one you have on you. No muss, no fuss, right?

Pokemon Sword and Shield: Evolving Cofagrigus

Alright, so you've gone through the weird little caveat of trading your way to a Unova Yamask, and now you want to complete the collection with it's Stage 2 evolution, Cofagrigus. This haunted Ghost-Type comes with the strange ability Mummy (according to Serebii.net), which on contact changes any Pokemon attacking Cofagrigus's ability ALSO into Mummy. Unova Yamask has the advantage here, in that it evolves in a perfectly normal fashion at Level 34, as opposed to the heavily-conditional evolution requirements.
