How to Get Venti in Genshin Impact
By Jacquelyn Li
Venti is a limited-time 5-star character in Genshin Impact, and one of the strongest supports you can add to your team. It's no surprise that many players want to obtain this character that has been at the top of tier lists since his release. However, because Venti is a limited-time character, players that want the windborne bard may need to be patient and wait for his return.
Venti is an anemo bow user whose primary role is to provide utility and support to his team. His Elemental Skill can be either tapped or held. When tapped, it summons a Wind Domain that deals area-of-effect anemo damage and launches enemies into the air; when held, it summons a larger Wind Domain surrounding Venti, dealing anemo damage and launching both himself and surrounding enemies into the air. Venti's Elemental Burst creates a large Stormeye in the air that constantly sucks in enemies and deals anemo damage over time, making it one of the best crowd control skills in the game.
How to Get Venti in Genshin Impact
Venti was first released during the Ballad in Goblets event Wish banner, which ran at the start of the game's release, from Sept. 28, 2020 to Oct. 18, 2020. He was the first limited-time 5-star character added to the game.
On March 17, 2021, miHoYo launched a rerun of the Ballad in Goblets banner, bringing back Venti for another three-week duration, until the banner ended on April 6, 2021. This gave players who missed his first banner another chance to obtain him. Venti is currently unobtainable until miHoYo releases a second rerun of his banner, or adds him to the standard banner, although there are no signs that they plan to do so.
Players who missed Venti during his first two banners and want to obtain him will need to sit tight and wait for a possible rerun. Venti is a popular character, so we will most likely see him return, but there is no telling when. There are many other characters in line for their first rerun before miHoYo can get around to second reruns, so be prepared for a long wait.
Don't worry, though - more time before Venti's banner means more time to save up primogems to work toward pity so you can pull him, guaranteed. You'll need 90 pulls' worth of primogems to guarantee a 5-star character, and 180 pulls' worth to guarantee the banner character.
In the meantime, there are plenty of characters that can serve as substitutes for Venti until his rerun is announced. Sucrose is a 4-star anemo catalyst user who has crowd control capabilities similar to Venti's. Coming up in the 1.6 patch, Kaedehara Kazuha is an anemo sword user who packs lots of utility in his kit, from crowd control, to launching himself in the air, to dealing anemo damage from offscreen. Players who like Venti's kit can consider pulling for Kazuha.
