Helldivers 2 is finally out on PlayStation 5 and PC! The sequel takes place a century after Super Earth won the Galactic War against the Terminids, Cyborgs, and Illuminates. Now, the Automatons wreak havoc on Super Erath, and the planet needs your help again. But what if you don’t know any fellow galactic peacekeepers? If that’s the case, don’t worry! This article will show you how to join a public game.

How to Join Helldivers 2 Public Game

Joining a public game in Helldivers 2 isn’t difficult, but it still requires a few steps. Here’s what you can do to be part of a random team.

  1. Launch Helldivers 2. 
  2. Go to the Gameplay Settings.
  3. In Gameplay Settings, find the Matchmaking Privacy option.
  4. Set your Matchmaking Privacy to "public."
  5. Go to the War Room, which is in your Destroyer.
  6. Access the Galatic console in your Destroyer. 
  7. Use the Galactic War console and press the Quickplay button.
  8. Helldivers 2 will begin searching for a public lobby.
  9. Once you’re in one, pick your loadout for the mission.

Helldiver’s 2 PC Requirements

You can buy Helldivers 2 on PC or PlayStation 5. However, players have reported performance issues in Helldiver 2’s PC version, along with security concerns regarding the anti-cheat software in the game. 

It’s best to wait until these issues are resolved before buying the PC copy of Helldivers 2. Here are the game’s minimum and recommended system requirements in case you cannot wait:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-4790K or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • Storage: 100 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

  • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600XT
  • Storage: 100 GB available space
  • Additional Notes: SSD Recommended
