The Overwatch 2 open beta test is finally here, and though keys starting off somewhat scarce, players will continue to stream onto servers over the coming weeks as more and more gain access. If you've already got access to the beta, be it through email opt-in or Twitch drops, here's what you need to know to install the game, launch it and get to gaming.

How to Install the Overwatch 2 Beta

Assuming you've already got access to the Overwatch 2 beta, there aren't many steps between you and getting into the action. All you need to do is follow these steps:

  • Launch the Battle.net client
  • Navigate to Overwatch
  • In the bottom left, above the Play button and below the Game Version label, click the drop down arrow
  • Under In Development, select Overwatch 2 Tech Beta
  • Click Install

Once you've done that, your game will begin installing. As soon as that Install button reads 'Play' instead, you'll be able to hop into your first Overwatch 2 match.
