How to Open the Nornir Rune Chest in Dragon Beach: God of War Ragnarök
Scattered around the many realms in God of War Ragnarök are Nornir Chests. Here's how to open up the rune chest in Dragon Beach.
Nornir Chests are found all over the realms, containing valuable materials such as Idunn Apples or Horns of Blood Mead. These items will either increase Kratos' health or his Maximum Rage — both important gauges to max out for the many fights ahead.
But because these items are so valuable, cracking open the Nornir Chests requires more work. To unlock them, you'll need to find and break three runes, or Seals, located around the area near the chest. Here's how to find the runes and open the Nornir Rune Chest in Dragon Beach.
How to Open the Nornir Rune Chest in Dragon Beach
The three runes you'll be looking for bear a resemblance to the letters 'R', 'Y' and 'F'.
- Rune ‘R’ — Hidden behind the dragon statue. There’s a geyser in front of the rune which, when frozen, reveals it hidden behind a metal grate. Head to the right side of the dragon statue until you see the back of the rune. Launch the axe at it to break it.
- Rune ‘Y’ — Behind the Nornir Chest is another geyser. Freeze it with the Leviathan Axe to reveal the location of the rune. You’ll need to recall the axe in order to use it again and break the rune. Line up your cursor with the rune and recall the axe. Immediately throw it again to hit the rune.
- Rune ‘F’ — Heading back towards the water, you’ll spot a geyser. Freeze it to reveal the rune sitting behind it. Like before, line it up with the cursor before recalling the axe. Then throw it to hit the rune.
After breaking all three runes, head back to the chest. Open it to claim a Horn of Blood Mead.
