How to Open the Nornir Rune Chest in Eastern Barri Woods: God of War Ragnarök
Scattered around the many realms in God of War Ragnarök are Nornir Chests. Here's how to open up the rune chest in Eastern Barri Woods.
Nornir Chests are found all over the realms, containing valuable materials such as Idunn Apples or Horns of Blood Mead. These items will either increase Kratos' health or his Maximum Rage — both important gauges to max out for the many fights ahead.
But because these items are so valuable, cracking open the Nornir Chests requires more work. To unlock them, you'll need to find and break three runes, or Seals, located around the area near the chest. Here's how to find the runes and open the Nornir Rune Chest in Eastern Barri Woods.
How to Open the Nornir Rune Chest in Eastern Barri Woods
For this Nornir Chest, players will need to hit the mechanisms until the correct rune is facing outwards. The runes in this puzzle bear a resemblance to the letters 'P', 'F' and 'C'.
- Rune P — Head back down the stairs a short way. Facing the chest, the mechanism is to the left of the stairs, covered in brambles. Chain Atreus’ Sigil Arrows to create a path to destroy the brambles using the Blades of Chaos. Once revealed, turn the mechanism until the ‘P’ rune is facing outwards.
- Rune F — Found to the left of the chest.
- Rune C — Head left of the chest until you reach the edge of the ridge. The mechanism for the ‘C’ rune is across the gap. Throw Kratos’ Leviathan Axe at it to turn the mechanism.
Return to the chest and open it to receive an Idunn Apple.
