How to Open the Nornir Rune Chest in Raider Hideout: God of War Ragnarök
Scattered around the many realms in God of War Ragnarök are Nornir Chests. Here's how to open up the rune chest in Raider Hideout.
Nornir Chests are found all over the realms, containing valuable materials such as Idunn Apples or Horns of Blood Mead. These items will either increase Kratos' health or his Maximum Rage — both important gauges to max out for the many fights ahead.
The Raider Hideout is found in Midgard, and one of the areas in which Kratos clears out in order to stop the group from poaching wolves. Hidden inside is a Nornir Chest. Here's how to get it open.
How to Open the Nornir Rune Chest in Raider Hideout
To unlock this chest, players will need to light three braziers. The runes bear a slight resemblance to the letters 'C', 'R' and 'N'.
- Rune ‘C’ — Just before climbing up the stairs back out into the open, look across the gap to the right. The brazier is tucked away at the back of the gap. Use Freya’s Sigil Arrows to create a full sigil around the brazier, then throw a bomb from the nearby fire pot at it. Aim as close to the top as you can without it hitting the rocks prematurely. It should explode just at the edge of Freya’s sigil, lighting the brazier.
- Rune ‘R’ — There’s some brambles to the left of the chest. Use Freya’s Sigil Arrows and Kratos’ Blades of Chaos to destroy them. The brazier is hidden behind, Use them both again to light the brazier.
- Rune ‘N’ — Using the fire pot, throw a bomb at the north wall where the gold-colored rocks are. Destroy the rocks to reveal the brazier. Toss another one at it to light the brazier.
After lighting all three braziers, return to the chest and open it to receive a Horn of Blood Mead.
