Lethal Company earned an overwhelmingly positive rating with over 96,000 reviews and made millions in less than a month, making it Steam's highest-rated game. This horror title puts employees of a greedy company in dangerous situations to collect scraps and sell them for profit.

Zeekerss released Lethal Company as an online co-op game, so there’s no single-player mode option. That said, it’s not impossible to play independently. Here’s how to play Lethal Company solo if you’d rather experience the game alone.

How to Play Lethal Company Solo

Players can host a session without inviting anyone to the game to play by themselves. All you have to do is follow these instructions:

  1. Start Lethal Company.
  2. Open the main menu.
  3. Choose “LAN” to host a session.
  4. Set the server to “friends-only,” but don’t invite people to the session.
  5. Start the server.

That’s all you need to do to play “single-player mode.” Lethal Company is meant to be played as a cooperative experience, so the game will be much more challenging for those flying solo. Meeting the Company’s quota will be more stressful since you’ll be very limited on cargo space, and no one can help you avoid monsters.

If you can’t find others to play with, you can join online public lobbies to play with strangers. But you’ll have bragging rights if you meet quotas yourself.
