How to Play WBC in MLB The Show 23

The World Baseball Classic (WBC) is an event where international teams gather to play in a group and bracket stage to determine which country has the best baseball team. It is similar to the Olympics, as teams are created based on where a player has citizenship.

Therefore, the diversity of MLB players gets dispersed among different countries, like Mexico, Cuba, Japan, and Australia. It is a highly anticipated event as it usually happens every three or more years. The most recent one concluded last week, as Japan defeated the United States in a one-run ballgame.

With the numerous highlights and memories that fans received from the WBC, it is only natural for them to want to experience the event for themselves in MLB The Show 23. Here is how they can play the WBC within the game.

How to Play WBC in MLB The Show 23

The WBC has been added to MLB The Show 23 via the Diamond Dynasty game mode, as they created a WBC Program. This program allows players to play through and experience key moments of the WBC from earlier this month. There are in game rewards that can be acquired and card packs that people can purchase through this program as well.

Unfortunately, WBC teams are not available through Exhibition modes. Players can search for custom WBC rosters through the Vault system, but there currently isn't an option to simply select Puerto Rico or Japan for example and face off in a head-to-head mode either offline or online.

There is also currently a WBC Event in Diamond Dynasty featuring its own special rewards including 97 overall Pete Alonso and Mookie Betts. The event ends on Apr. 7, but players can expect those rewards to return later in other events through Rewind packs.
