How to Slide Cancel in MW3 Warzone
After months of anticipation, Urzikstan is finally here, and fans can once again slide cancel in MW3 Warzone.
Although multiplayer fans have enjoyed the return of advanced movement since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched in November, Call of Duty: Warzone players have been stuck in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 era. Now, with the launch of Warzone Season 1, Battle Royale fans can finally slide cancel as they explore new map, Urzikstan. With 11 POIs and a new Gulag, the extra movement is essential to dominating the foreign environment.
Here's how to slide cancel in MW3 Warzone.
How to Slide Cancel in MW3 Warzone
To slide cancel in MW3 Warzone, you must quickly press the crouch button twice and jump as you sprint with your designated button or stick. As a result, you will cancel the slide animation, allowing for much smoother, swifter movement on Urzikstan.
In the Warzone Season 1 patch notes, Activision reminded players that slide canceling in both MW3 and Warzone "does not reset tactical sprint and briefly pauses stamina regeneration."
Although slide canceling is not as OP as it was in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019), the advanced movement still increases the skill gap in Battle Royale matches and allows for versatile, fluid close-quarter gunfights and rotations.
If you are new to Call of Duty, slide canceling might take you some time to master. We recommend perfecting your movement in multiplayer before dropping into Urzikstan.
Here's All the Movement Changes in MW3 Warzone
Along with the addition of slide canceling, MW3 Warzone includes the following movement changes, per Activision:
- Jump Changes: Jump higher, faster and jump ADS quicker. Reduced the slow-down when landing from the first jump and reduced the sprint-out delay after jumping.
- Slide Distance: The distance that Players travel while sliding is now impacted by the incline of the surface.
Urzikstan is now live for all players to test out the adjusted movement in Warzone Season 1.
