How to Summon Nessie in Apex Legends With Materia Hop-Up
Fans can finally summon Nessie in Apex Legends with a limited-time Materia hop-up, courtesy of Final Fantasy VII.
As Apex Legends Season 19 winds down, Respawn Entertainment has partnered with Square Enix to bring Final Fantasy VII to the Outlands. To celebrate the upcoming release of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth, several Final Fantasy-inspired skins are coming to Apex Legends, along with the new Final Fantasy VII Takeover, set to replace unranked Battle Royale. The mode includes Cloud's Buster Sword as a usable weapon, and several Materia that offer unique abilities, like summoning Nessie.
Here's how to get everyone's favorite Apex Legends mascot in the crossover event.
How to Summon Nessie in Apex Legends With Materia Hop-Up
To summon Nessie in Apex Legends with a Materia hop-up, players must first find a Red Materia. Final Fantasy VII fans will recognize the small, glowing orb that typically allows you to cast spells, wield additional abilities, or summon creatures. In Apex Legends, the Red Materia will bring Nessie to help defeat your enemies.
Materia in the Apex Legends x Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth event can be found from ground loot or the event's Cactuar Ticks. Beware, though, that not all weapons are compatible with all Materia; the developers cautioned that each Materia "will only attach with select weapons."
At the time of writing, it is unclear what the best combinations will be, but stay tuned for more information as the event goes live.
