How to Turn the Satellite Generator On in Horizon Forbidden West

The satellite generator will need to be powered up when you reach the Cinnabar Sands. This is where you will encounter one of the first Tallnecks. Unfortunately, you will not be able to reach the top of the Tallneck until the generator is on.

Now that you know why you need to turn the satellite generator on, here's how to do it.

How to Turn the Satellite Generator On in Horizon Forbidden West

Start by shooting down the ladder at the base of the structure to lower it. Climb up to the first platform and jump to the second ladder. Next, climb up and you'll come to the main platform where the satellite dish is. Aloy will make a comment that it can still rotate.

Knock down the ladder on the right side and follow the path to the Energy Cell. From here, move across to the right. You will need to drop down onto the platform and remove the Energy Cell by interacting with it. Now, drop down to the ground and insert the Energy Cell in the generator below the satellite.

With the power cell, climb the first ladder again in order to activate the console. The satellite dish at Cinnabar Sands now has power. It will get stuck after beginning to move so make sure to slice the two power cables to free it.
