In Evil Dead: The Game, Ash Williams (Ash vs. Evil Dead) is one of four Survivor characters that players can unlock at launch. Here's a breakdown of how to unlock Ash Williams (Ash vs. Evil Dead) in Evil Dead: The Game.

To unlock Ash Williams (Ash vs. Evil Dead), players simply need to complete the first mission in the single-player Missions mode, "If you love someone, set them free… With a chainsaw."

Missions are pretty straightforward, short side experiences that take players through the world of Evil Dead: The Game, allowing them to relive memorable moments from the movies, learn more about gameplay mechanics and most importantly, unlock characters, outfits and lore sound tapes.

In this one, players will step into the role of Evil Dead 2 Ash, reenacting some of the events from the movie, including finding Linda's necklace, digging up her possessed head and banishing the demon that still possesses her.

Once players complete this 20-25 minute mission, they will unlock Ash Williams from Ash vs. The Evil Dead in their collection of playable characters for all of the other modes.

Aside from the three other Ash Williams variants players can play as in Evil Dead: The Game — Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness — the Ash vs. Evil Dead version is the lone one that is classified as a Leader. With his El Jefe ability, Ash Williams (Ash vs. Evil Dead) emits an aura that reduces the incoming damage and fear of all in-range survivors.
