Unlocking R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow in Warzone is going to be difficult now.
Due to confusion and an issue with Activision, Call of Duty: Warzone players were scrambling to figure out how to unlock the R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow in Warzone on March 18. Unfortunately, this release was unintended and the weapon has since been removed from the game. Activision issued a statement via Twitter about the weapon, refunding players who had already purchased the bundle. The weapon will be added at a later date.
An issue with the R1 Shadowhunter weapon appearing earlier than planned in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War has been resolved.

Refunds are planned for players who purchased the bundle while it was live in the Store, and the bundle and in-game challenge will return at a later date.
How to Unlock R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow in Warzone
The R1 Shadowhunter Crossbow is still unavailable in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War at this time, but the updated issue did allow players to have a sneak peek at the requirements to unlock it. It's a relatively simple process, but you'll need time and dedication in order to acquire this weapon once it's live again.
To unlock the R1 Shadowhunter, players will have to earn the One Shot, One Kill medal three times in 15 separate matches with a base weapon. This means that the weapon of choice can have no attachments, but there are a few weapons that would see this process made easily completed.

The best way to unlock this crossbow will be to is to use a LW3-Tundra Sniper Rifle. As long as those three kills are all done in a single shot per kill, you’ll be done with your in-game challenge fast. A big note to be mindful of is to not leave the match once you have completed your three kills. Players tried doing this to unlock the Streetsweeper shotgun, and they were met with progress resets.
I do not agree with how this is being handled. Spent 15 matches unlocking it which cant be backed out of, then spent the 2WXP tokens and time level it up to 29 for it to be reset. https://t.co/cQ2gMa7U6A

While we don't know the return date of the weapon, it's known that Activision will not return the R1 Shadowhunter unlocked and level progressed to those who spent time on this weapon. Josh Torres is a Community Manager at Treyarch, and responded with the Tweet above when asked whether or not players would keep the weapon level progression.
