How to Use a Holiday Present Item in Fortnite

Another Winterfest challenge has revealed itself in Fortnite. This time players will need to find and use a Holiday Present item.

We're rapidly approaching the end of the year, and Winterfest is well underway. A number of themed challenges have become available by now, allowing players to earn themselves some neat seasonal rewards. Some challenges have been pretty easy to complete, while others have required a little more figuring out.

This time, though, players will need to get their hands on a Holiday Present item and then use it to complete the challenge. This is easier said than done as many players have been having a bit of trouble getting hold of one.

Where to Find Holiday Presents in Fortnite

Holiday Presents in Fortnite are not easy to come by and, unless you're extremely lucky, it might take you a few matches to find one. Holiday Presents can be found as floor loot, and with everyone searching for their own, it can be a tricky feat.

Sgt. Winter in his festive truck will throw out presents but sadly these won't count towards the challenge. This is because you're only opening one, not deploying one yourself.

There is a way to increase your chances of finding a Holiday Present to use, however. Landing at a location with a higher amount of floor loot will mean there are more chances to come across one. Of course, these areas will likely be pretty hot so be prepared to defend yourself. Good locations to try are Sunny Steps or Chonker's Speedway.

The Holiday Present item can be identified by it's glowing gold aura and being in the shape of a gift box. Pick one up, then throw it to the ground to deploy it. This is all you'll need to do to complete the challenge, but be sure to break it open to see what's inside before you go.
