To begin finding Infused Rubies, players need to complete "The Endmire" quest in Darkhaven, offered by Tessle the Snitch at 65, 64.
Afterward, players can earn Infused Rubies just by adventuring throughout Revendreth. The most common places to run across them are World Quests, chests, Covenant Callings, drops, mobs, and treasures. In fact, those with the most success farming them have done so by treasure hunting and beating down rare spawns—with a rate of 10-15 rubies per run.
While there is no end to how often they can hunt for Infused Rubies, players are limited to carrying up to 100 units at a time. Additionally, they can only spend them at noted Infused Ruby Vendors. Such NPCs—and interactable items—can be noticed via the unique sparkle SFX or faint purple glow surrounding them.
Perhaps the most intriguing purchasable reward for finding Infused Rubies is the Red Noggin Candle Recipe sold in limited quantities by Bored Dredger. It is exactly what it sounds like—a hat transmog that gives players the appearance of having a flickering red candle atop their head.
Players can spend Infused Rubies on maps that give them an edge in detecting even more rubies, buffs such as "Sliver of Burgeoning Ambition," and items like "Darktower Parchments" and "Box of Stalker Traps."
As far as interactions go, players can use five Infused Rubies to ride Castle Sinrunner horses fly on Dredbats one way through various routes. For 20 rubies, players can entice an Inert Rockjaw Protector to fight at their side for 10 minutes. Those particularly committed to finding this currency can additionally exchange 99 rubies to loot The Count's treasure, resulting in "The Count" battle pet.
