Marvel Rivals may be the hero shooter we've always wanted. It boasts an impressive character roster, detailed and destructible environments, and incredible Team-Up Skills that allow players to combine powers with others. In addition, the PVP shooter will have a 6v6 team-based competitive mode, with more on the way.

Although the game doesn't have a release date yet, players can add Marvel Rivals to their Steam wishlist and sign up for the Closed Alpha Test. More importantly, fans are eager to know if it's free.

Is Marvel Rivals Free-to-Play?

Marvel Rivals is free-to-play, so players will not have to spend money to enjoy this hero shooter.

The developers answered this frequently asked question on their Discord server, saying, "Absolutely! We're committed to making the game accessible to all. Marvel Rivals is completely free to download and play."

NetEase Games and Marvel Games also promise a "continually evolving universe and robust post-launch updates," including seasonal drops with new maps and characters.

The plot centers around the maniacal scientist Doctor Doom. The dictator and his 2099 self team up, causing chaos as universes collide in the Timestream Entanglement. Superheroes and villains across the Marvel multiverse now fight against or with each other to stop both Dooms.

Marvel Rivals System Requirements

The developers have stated that the Closed Alpha Test for Marvel Rivals will only be available on PC. Players should make sure their computers can handle the load before downloading It.
