Is The Quarry Related to Until Dawn?

Until Dawn was released back in 2015 by Supermassive Games, and featured a story that revolved around eight stranded people in the deep mountains, fighting for their lives against mysterious forces trying to kill them. It featured a "playable horror movie" style of game that has not been replicated until The Quarry was released. The Quarry features nine different camp counselors stranded at camp and forced to solve puzzles and fight for their lives.

Until Dawn was an incredible success, but as of yet has no sequel. While The Quarry is not a direct sequel to Until Dawn, it has been described as the "spiritual successor" to it.
