Now that the Modern Warfare II Open Beta has been out and available for some time, it's perhaps no surprise that many are wondering whether or not Warzone 2 is included as well. Here's a breakdown of if Warzone 2 is in the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta.

Is Warzone 2 in the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta?

Unfortunately, Warzone 2 is not available for players to test out during the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta.

At the time of publication, the only known official date that those looking to play Warzone 2 should look out for is Nov. 16, which is when the new free-to-play experience will release worldwide — along with DMZ — as part of Modern Warfare 2 Season 1.

The first wave of official Warzone 2 news came during the Call of Duty: NEXT event, in which the game's upcoming map, Gulag, loadout system and more were revealed.

Warzone 2 is expected to extend the MW2 universe, with technology built for next-gen and a shared experience and systems that are separate from Modern Warfare (2019), Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard and Warzone 1.

As far as the Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta, those who manage to hop in before it closes in the coming days will be able to get their first taste of COD gameplay moving forward, as the Ground War maps and engine being featured will also be used in Warzone 2.
