Jermain Defoe End of an Era FIFA 22 SBC Apparently Leaked

Jermain Defoe announced his retirement from professional football on March 24, and it is rumored that the former English Striker will receive an End of an Era SBC in FIFA 22. Defoe last played for Sunderland, who play in the third tier of English Football.

The new card was leaked by notable FUT 22 leaker FifaTradingRomania on Twitter, with stats yet to be revealed. There has yet to be an End of an Era SBC in FIFA 22, with multiple Flashback SBCs and Player Moments cards releasing since FIFA 22's launch.

Defoe's current card in FIFA is a 68-rated silver card, so his End of an Era SBC card would have to be a big upgrade in order to be usable in FIFA 22 in April. He has three star skill moves and four-star weak foot, which can potentially be upgraded to 4* 4* if EA Sports is generous as well. With all the available Icons and English players in FIFA 22, it won't be too difficult to build a squad around Defoe in FUT.

Sunderland only have one special card currently in FUT, a TOTW Ross Stewart item from TOTW 16. It would be interesting to see a English League One special card in FIFA 22 before TOTS, however, if Defoe does receive a special End of an Era SBC, he can be included in fun TOTS squads featuring TOTS cards from the other English leagues.
