Kena: Bridge of Spirits DLC Plans: Are There Any?
Kena: Bridge of Spirits may have a few DLC plans in the works, according to Ember Lab co-founder Mike Grier in an interview with IGN.
Despite being just a handful of days removed from launch, feedback from fans of the action-adventure title have been heard by the Ember Lab team said Grier, who took to IGN's Next-Gen Console Watch show to shed some light on what post-launch support for Kena could look like.
Kena: Bridge of Spirits DLC Plans: Are There Any?
After initially being announced on June 11, 2020, at PlayStation's Future of Gaming event, Kena: Bridge of Spirits was officially released as a timed exclusive for the PlayStation 4, PS5, and PC (via Epic Games Store) on Sept. 21, 2021.
Although Grier and Ember Lab do expect to look into other platform releases for Kena "after launch and a rest," according to SegmentNext, it appears DLC plans for the game are a bit more clear as things currently stand.
“We definitely want to support the game,” Grier told IGN. “We know that people love Photo Mode and the combat, so we’re thinking about things we can do to expand some new combat scenarios, or maybe some additional content in the future with a feature around combat.
"We want to make some updates to Photo Mode. People have been asking for certain features that would be easy to do, so we'll definitely be supporting Kena for a while. We are definitely a small team and we're very excited to see people playing the game and responding to it."
Since these are more hypothetical ideas rather than new content and features confirmed to be in development, feel free to take this news with a grain of salt. However, it is undeniably encouraging to hear about if you're a big fan of the game.
