Latest Warzone Glitch Prevents Players from Picking Certain Operators
By Jack O'Dwyer
A new glitch has cropped up in Warzone that prevents players from selecting certain Operators to play in lobbies.
Do you ever just not feel like playing? Apparently, that's how some Call of Duty (COD): Warzone operators feel this week as players aren't able to select them to deploy in lobbies. According to player reports, this isn't the first time the Warzone community has had to alter their favorites just to jump into a match, either.
Here's what you need to know.
Warzone Glitch Prevents Players from Picking Operators
This particular instance of the glitch was brought to light via a post on the CODWarzone subreddit board published on Sunday, Oct. 10. User Venomslayerhollow noted the problem in their title and attached a short video clip to showcase what was happening.
The clip is what one would expect. No matter how they scroll, the player cannot select certain operators from the list.
The comments on the post go on to undoubtedly confirm the existence of the glitch—as well as how long they've been dealing with it. Some state it has been in the game for the past week while others explain how they've had to put up with it for close to a month. One user, This_Hat987, has allegedly been experiencing it since Season 5.
Hawaii2010 wrote, "Oh, yeah, that glitch is f******* infuriating. I end up having to select a random operator in my favourites in the hopes that it shifts all the characters into the right spot so I can pick one specific character."
"This glitch has been around for a long time." RobocopRockstar replied, "Happen to me on the judge dredd skin. Bought it and couldn't even use to for like 1 1/2 weeks. Really annoying."
Fortunately, likely due to its prevalence, there is a workaround—which involves plugging the player's mouse into their console. However, it's worth noting this isn't the only glitch involving operator choice in Warzone. Some players have reported their operator choice switching on them when entering a lobby or their skin swapping upon winning a match.
Neither Activision nor Raven Software have issued a statement or hotfix at the time of writing.
