Riot Games tends to add some interesting things to League of Legends whenever April Fool's Day arrives, and that will still hold true for 2023. Alongside some silly additions, Riot also tends to adds a yearly April Fool's skin set .
For 2023, the new skins have a cat and dog theme, scheduled to be released in a couple weeks. The champions receiving an April Fool's skin this year include: Kindred, Yuumi, Nidalee, and Kled.
Riot usually plays an April Fool's joke on the player base, with last year being a fake patch notes release by one of the game's developers. One year, Riot gave every character a big Draven head.

League of Legends April Fool's Joke 2023
Riot is planning on releasing a game mode on April Fool's, as popular content creator SkinSpotlights pointed out on Twitter. Their tweet said that there was a game mode added to the Public Beta Environment (PBE) called "Tomato". Already this sounds like a silly name for a League of Legends game mode.
SkinSpotlights also pointed out that there will be snowballs involved in the new game mode and a scuttle crab, but there was not a full explanation of the game mode's objective. So, players will have to try out the game mode when it likely releases for April Fool's Day.
