League of Legends Jungle Items: What You Need to Know for Preseason
League of Legends jungle items that players need to know for Preseason will be greatly different from the current ones. Mark Yetter, Gameplay Design Director for League of Legends, hinted that there are changes made for junglers and the jungle itself.
The changes should have the following:
- Increase pathing diversity by making camp resistance more uniform
- Expose some hidden mechanics visually to help newer players learn the jungle
- Slight reduction to the power of kiting camps
League of Legends Jungle Items: What You Need to Know for Preseason
Junglers will pick one of the two starter items, Doran's Forgeheart or Doran's Hailseed. After Smiting five times either will disappear from their inventory to permanently grant effects as a passive and upgrade Smite to Chilling or Challenging. This means that junglers will not have to complete their jungle items anymore.

Item reward: +10% Omnivamp vs. monsters
Tooth & Nail: Damaging monsters burns them for (2% Bonus Health) (+10% Ability Power) (+5% Bonus Attack Damage) magic damage over 5 seconds. Monsters who would die to the burn die immediately.
